Oakland Community College (OCC) was honored with the JADE Strategies, Inc. Transformational Leadership Award by the Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce at its annual Silver & Gold Awards. The awards were announced on Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, Mich. 

The award recognizes a company that demonstrates exceptional leadership development initiatives that enhance collaboration, innovation and measurable results. OCC was selected from a distinguished group of nominees, including BorgWarner and Havenwyck Hospital. 

“This award is a meaningful reflection of OCC's partnership with the community and our dedication to developing leaders at every level,” said Eunice Jeffries, OCC Executive Director, Government and Community Relations. “We’re grateful to the Auburn Hills Chamber for recognizing this work and proud of the OCC team, who work hard to ensure our students and community succeed at every level.” 

The Chamber’s Silver & Gold Awards honor individuals and companies who exemplify “sterling” qualities of excellence, leadership and achievement in the areas of innovation, leadership, and community involvement throughout the year.
